2022 New Hampshire Nutrition Security Awards Nomination Form

At New Hampshire's first Food and Nutrition Security Summit there will be a special awards ceremony honoring community leaders who have made significant contributions to the field of nutrition security. This event will be a celebration of the progress made towards creating a more sustainable and equitable food system, and an opportunity to recognize the individuals who have helped to make it possible. Use the form below to submit your nominations which will be voted on by the NH Food Access Coalition Advisory Team. Deadline for nominations is Monday, January 16th.

About the Awards

Exceptional Nutrition Security Leader
This award honors those who have demonstrated a strong commitment to addressing issues of food insecurity through innovative programs, initiatives, and leadership. The recipient of this award will be someone who has made a significant impact on the nutrition security landscape in New Hampshire, and who has demonstrated a dedication to improving the health and well-being of those in our community who are most vulnerable to food insecurity.

Nutrition Security Innovator of the Year
This award honors those who have demonstrated a creative and forward-thinking approach to addressing issues of food and nutrition insecurity, and who have made a significant impact on the nutrition security landscape in our state. The recipient of this award will be someone who has developed and implemented an innovative program, initiative, or project that has had a meaningful and measurable impact on improving nutrition security in New Hampshire. This may include the development of new technologies, approaches, or partnerships that have helped to increase access to nutritious and sustainably-grown food for those in need.

Nutrition Security Advocate of the Year
This award honors those who have shown a strong commitment to raising awareness about issues of food and nutrition insecurity, and who have worked tirelessly to advocate for policies and programs that promote improved nutrition and food security in our state. The recipient of this award will be a someone that does not hold public office who has made a significant impact in raising awareness about the importance of nutrition security and in advocating for policies and programs that support improved nutrition and food security in New Hampshire. This may include lobbying efforts, grassroots organizing, media outreach, or other forms of advocacy.

Nutrition Equity Award
This award honors those who have demonstrated a strong commitment to addressing the root causes of food and nutrition insecurity, and who have worked to reduce disparities and ensure that all people have access to nutritious and sustainably-grown food. The recipient of this award will be someone who has made a significant impact in promoting nutrition equity in New Hampshire, and who has worked to address the underlying systemic issues that contribute to food and nutrition insecurity. This may include efforts to improve food access in under-served communities, promote the development of more equitable food systems, or advocate for policies that support improved nutrition and food security for all.

Nutrition Security Volunteer of the Year
This award honors those who have demonstrated a strong commitment to addressing issues of food and nutrition insecurity, and who have dedicated their time and energy to making a positive impact in their community. The recipient of this award will be someone who has made a significant impact through their volunteer work in the field of nutrition security in New Hampshire. This may include volunteering at food banks or pantries, participating in community gardens or farm-to-table programs, or assisting with other initiatives that support improved nutrition and food security in our state.
