Ending Hunger
in New Hampshire

Our system of food and nutrition programs is like
a power grid. It moves healthy food
through communities to schools and to households.

In New Hampshire, the grid is well-developed in some areas and patchy or non-existent in others. We could get close to ending hunger in our state if everyone eligible for federal nutrition programs was connected to those resources, which represent our nation’s commitment to supporting the health and well-being of any of us who might found ourselves in need.

To foster the health and well-being of all New Hampshire residents, we need to make sure more communities are plugged into the grid, so that everyone eligible for food and nutrition supports receives it.

OUR PRIORITIES

Ending hunger in New Hampshire requires more than food — it requires a strong, connected system.

NH Hunger Solutions works to build and maintain the state’s food and nutrition “power grid,” ensuring that policies, schools, and community partners are working together to move healthy food where it’s needed most. Our work focuses on closing gaps in access, supporting child nutrition, strengthening food access efforts, and increasing understanding of hunger and how to solve it.

We work to close the gap
between those eligible and those enrolled in federal nutrition programs.

Work with Schools

We work with schools, districts
and state agencies to expand access to healthy meals for children.
